A Ford Raptor driver has been arrested three weeks after the alleged Belmore Road attack

The wife of a road rage victim said she was tortured by photos of him in hospital with a fractured skull and brain swelling after an attack that left him needing CPR at the scene to save his life.

Father-of-two John Tutsis, 47, remains in hospital three weeks after an angry road attack allegedly carried out by a 34-year-old who refused bail at Bankstown Local Court in western Sydney on Tuesday.

Pictures of the bloodied Mr. Totsis have been posted online by his sister Vicki and his wife Li E Zl, who are stuck in the Philippines trying to arrange a visa alongside her husband.

“I pray for your speedy recovery sweetheart.. it tortures me when I really want to see you, take care of you and be with you in this time of crisis, but I can’t right now. I don’t have my visa yet,” Ms. Zell – a high school teacher – posted on Facebook.

The post was accompanied by a photo of Mr. Tutsis in hospital, posted on Facebook by sister Vicki Tutsis, who described her brother’s injuries as “two skull fractures and brain swelling”.

The Ford Raptor driver accused of an alleged road rage incident is Dean Disevich, of Punchbowl, who is accused of punching Mr. Totsis in the back of the head, causing him to crash to the ground and suffer a cerebral hemorrhage.

Vicky Toutsis said a passing motorist who saw the stricken Mr. Toutsis performed CPR before paramedics arrived at the scene in Bellmore, in Sydney’s southwest, on 28 May.

Dean Dicevic was arrested in Lakemba on Monday night – three weeks after he left the scene of the alleged accident – and charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm.

He did not appear at Bankstown District Court on Tuesday and Judge Glenn Walsh said the accused would remain in custody pending a hearing on Thursday, when he applies for bail.

At the time of his sentencing, Mr Decevic was out on bail for an alleged stalking charge that was set for a hearing at Bankstown District Court in December.

Police will claim that at approximately 7.15pm on Sunday 28th May 2023, Mount Tutsis stopped his Hyundai Getz in Pell Street, Belmore.

A short time later, police alleged, Desievich parked his Ford Raptor behind the other man’s car, exited the facility, and assaulted the victim.

The police will claim that Mr. Tutsis fell backwards and hit his head on the ground.

Mr Totsis was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St George’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Mr. Decevic allegedly left the scene of the accident in his Raptor before the police arrived.

Investigators released a photo of a vehicle and a description of a man they now claim is Dean Decevic, whom they arrested Monday night.

Mr. Tutsis remains in a serious but stable condition at St George’s Hospital.

Police allege Mr. Decevic parked his Ford Raptor behind Mr. Totsis' Hyundai Getz (stock photo), exited the facility and assaulted the 47-year-old.
