Did Prince William pay tribute to Harry in the adorable coronation video?

Fans of the royal family caught what they believe is a sign of hope yet in Prince Harry and Prince William’s fractured relationship in a video on the Prince of Wales’ YouTube account.

In an adorable video produced for the Prince and Princess of Wales that offers a behind-the-scenes insight into the coronation weekend, viewers get a look inside the Wills’ living space at Kensington Palace.

One clip shows eight-year-old Princess Charlotte running excitedly into the living room as she struts past the piano, on which are several portraits.

And one of the photos is a touching nod to Prince William’s brother and late mother, showing the three of them together.

The black and white photo, which shows the young siblings cuddling with Princess Diana, was on the cover of a 1995 Christmas card for friends and family.

As Diana lunges at the center of the picture, William rests his head on her shoulder to one side. On the other side, Harry does the same and wraps his arm around his mother.

The Mirror reported that eagle-eyed royal fans on TikTok had spotted the photo, which takes center stage on a piano, and thought it represented the important place Prince Harry still holds in Prince William’s life, despite their increasingly strained relationship.

After posting a clip to the platform, a royal fan commented: ‘I sincerely wish Harry and William could get together. Diana would be devastated.

The rift between the embattled brothers began to surface in 2020 when Bence Harry, 38, moved to California with Meghan Markle, 41, and stepped down as senior royals.

Since the move, the siblings have barely spoken, with the Duke of Sussex’s memoir Spear, as well as his £88m Harry and Meghan documentary, sharing his side of the story regarding their strained relationship behind the scenes.

The photo on the piano is the same heart-warming photo of the late Princess Diana with her two sons, William and Harry, that appeared on the Christmas card in 1995.

In the six-part documentary series, which was shown last December, Harry claimed his older brother lost his temper during crisis talks over the Duke’s future position within the royal family.

He said it ‘was terrifying for my brother to yell and yell at me and my father to say things that simply weren’t right, and my grandmother would sit there quietly and eat it all’ as the family gathered around the table at Sandringham to discuss Harry’s ‘half in, half out’ proposal.

When Spear was published in January, Harry also wrote about a shocking physical altercation he claimed had occurred between the brothers at Frogmore Cottage, following a falling out over Meghan.

The Duke alleged his brother called Meghan “difficult”, “brusque” and “abrasive” and insisted he was trying to help his younger brother during a meeting about the “ongoing disaster” of their failing relationship and Harry’s falling out with the press.

Harry then accused his brother of “repeating the press’ story” about his American wife before a shouting match ensued, which ended in a physical altercation, the book claims. He says he gave the heir to the throne a glass of water and said, “Willy, I can’t talk to you when you’re like this.”

He put down the water, called me by another name, and then came to me, said the ex-soldier, describing what he claimed happened next, and insisting he was afraid. It all happened quickly. Very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, tore off my collar, and knocked me to the ground.

“ I landed on the dog bowl, which crackled under my back, and the pieces cut me off. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.

Since the brothers first drifted apart in 2020, it is known that what unites them is the legacy of their late mother Diana, who died in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

They are reunited in July 2021 to unveil a statue in memory of their mother, which they have been jointly commissioned.

And in what many saw as a show of unity, the brothers issued a joint statement later that day paying tribute to Princess Diana.

It read, “Every day, we wish she was still with us, and hope that this statue will forever be seen as a symbol of her life and legacy.”

“Today, on our mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength, and character—the qualities that made her a force for good all over the world, to change countless lives for the better.”
