Manchester City striker Erling Haaland appears to have inadvertently set a new trend, with a certain image resulting in a huge spike in frontline sales.
Haaland was snapped inside the City dressing room alongside Noel Gallagher after his side’s win over Arsenal on April 26, but he appeared with the rock star in his underpants.
Oddly enough, since the photo appeared on social media, demand for the little ones has skyrocketed, causing sales to rise by a staggering 45 percent.
Bosses at TOFS, the discount store chain with more than 200 locations across the UK, have revealed that shelves have been ‘stripped’ thanks to the record-breaking City striker.
In fact, analysts looking for the “hottest” elements found that Y interfaces topped the heap.

TOFS’ Chief Trade Officer revealed the extent of Haaland’s influence.
“The Y fronts had strong competition in the past from boxer shorts, but Haaland has sparked a resurgence in interest in this traditional menswear,” said Tracy Ford.
Haaland, 22, publicly donned the classic type of undergarment earlier this season, forcing fans to turn away. He posed for the photo in his Calvin Kleins wrapper while also carrying a spinach smoothie and kale-infused milk.
Later, Gallagher provided an insight into his conversation with the In-Form Team Leader.
“I was just in the dressing room with him and he’s like a little kid,” he said.
He’s walking around in his underwear and telling me he can’t wait to meet his uncle, whom I’ve never met before.
He got fouled and didn’t score a hat-trick. He’s like a big, crazy kid. He’s a great soccer player.”
Haaland’s questionable choice of underwear is the latest example of his daring and outlandish style. Previously, he lifted the lid on his strict diet.

So far this season, the fiery Haaland has scored 52 goals from 49 appearances and helped launch his side on the cusp of a thrilling treble.
City need just one win to win the Premier League, while reaching the Champions League and FA Cup finals.
