Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse filled with easter eggs. Perhaps it can already be said. The movie is full of niche references to old Marvel comics, popular memes, and even fun facts about real-life movies. In reality, Through the spider verse It contains so many Easter eggs that it is hard for one person to notice them all. However, we have picked some of our favorites and want to share them with you.
It might be the first thing you notice Through the spider verse (Besides the great animation) It was 280 Spider-People. About 95 of them have names and lines in the movie. To move all these spidery things, Through the spider verse It set a record for an animated film with nearly 1,000 people working on it. This extensive list of crew members contains cameos and references to all things Spider-Man. And even though this movie is part of Sony’s Spider-Verse, it’s pretty close to being in the MCU.

Easter eggs inside the cobweb
Through the spider verse It begins with the Comics Code Authority’s approval, a small logo that appeared on comics in the 1960s to let parents know it was safe for their children to read. This movie is full of these old references. The animation is intended to look like a comic book covered in Ben-Day dots, a cheap printing method for creating shading. The animators even played with the frames per second to make some of the action look smoother and Spider-Punk richer.
Some people may have noticed that the Lego world was getting some special attention when Miguel O’Hara told Lego Peter Parker that he was “one of their best.” Perhaps that’s because filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are also known for their portrayals lego movie.
There are also some links to In the spider’s house When an old version of a smiling nerd appears on the street. Later in the movie, we also see two separate scenes from the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies where Miguel O’Hara shows how all of the Spider-People are connected. O’Hara points out Spider-Man: Homecoming When he says, “It started with Doctor Strange and the Nerd on Earth – 199999,” he’s implying that he knows the MCU movies.
Who are all these spiders?
Of course, figuring out who the 280 Spider-People are is a job for a comic book historian, but some of our favorites have made an appearance. Starting with the main movie, Miguel O’Hara (voiced by Oscar Isaac) is Spider-Man 2099, a spider-man from the future who traveled back in time to save his reality. The Amazing Spider-Woman on a Motorcycle is Jessica Drew (voiced by Issa Rae) from main canon Marvel Earth-616. Some may recognize Karan Soni’s voice as Paviter Prabhacker as he appeared as Deadpool’s driver dead pool series.
And there are other spider people you may not have met. Spider-Man with a bag over his head is the Bombastic Bag Man, a reference to when Spider-Man was stuck without a suit in Fantastic 4 headquarters and had to leave with a bag and some borrowed clothes. The little dune buggy Spider-People hopped into is actually Peter Parked-Car of Earth-53931. And Cowboy Spider-Man is actually a Web-Slinger (voiced by Taran Killam of Saturday Night Life) and his horse’s widow.
Cameo in Spider-Verse
There were a lot of pictures Through the spider verse. Many of them were disguised as Spider-Man as voice actors. Jack Quaid children Voiced by Peter Parker from Gwen’s Spider-Verse. Andy Samberg from the Lonely Island crew played the emotional Ben Reilly, aka the Scarlet Spider, who we see has a breakdown within the spider community. But one of the most exciting cameos was the appearance of Donald Glover as the captured Prowler. As Miles walks by, Spider-Punk says he has taken charge of this Prowler himself. Remember, Donald Glover played Aaron Davis in the MCU Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, which technically made it part of the Life and Destiny website. in homecomingGlover’s character has said he has a nephew who lives next door, hinting at the presence of Miles Morales in the MCU.
