What is The Meg All About?
The Meg brings audiences to the Mariana Trench, the deepest trench on Earth. A group of underwater scientists are conducting an experiment near the ocean floor when they are suddenly attacked by a 75-foot-long sea creature. It’s the same sea creature that five years earlier, attacked Naval Captain Jonas Taylor, causing him to abort a rescue mission and costing him his career, marriage, and reputation when nobody believed his story.
Now, with the monster’s return, Jonas is called upon to take control of the situation once again and possibly redeem his good name. But he’s in for a challenge – the creature he encountered years prior turns out to be a megalodon shark, long thought to have been extinct. As they race against the clock to rescue the research crew, Jonas and his team must use their wits and skills to fight against the hungry predator if they are going to have any hope of pulling off a successful mission and saving the ocean from danger.
